This etching was made in October 2024 by myself at my studio in Camberwell, London. The initial idea for this image came when I was making a card for a friend who does indeed have a number of cats, although I’ve never seen her holding all three at the same time, but knowing those cats as I do I dont think it would be possible - they’re a very unruly bunch. However, this young lady has managed the trick. I made this etching shortly after a certain US politician had made a rather disparaging comment about America being run by “ a bunch of childless cat ladies.” Frankly, and political party run by cat ladies would always get my vote.
