Back in 2003 I was in my studio working, there was a play on the radio which I wasn’t really paying attention to, but I heard the line, ‘ I woke to find a bear leaning over me as if to kiss me’. and that inspired this print, Bear Hug. Bear Hug was made and editioned by the artist Martin Ridgwell at Halfmoon Studio, London in 2003. It was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in the same year.
